Hyper-Images

Hyper-Images is a series of generative digital collages, interlocking multiple viewpoints of unique encounters with a natural phenomena: a glacier, a forest, a sunrise, a fire. 200 images are taken of each subject, which custom software sorts and slices. The processes delivers nearly infinite combinatorial possibility, while rigidly producing the same effect each time. The subject matter is obscured on one level, the recursive photographic frames too tight to reveal the pictures within. Simultaneously, hints of natural systems too massive to capture in a single image are revealed.
