Scales & Aspects is a series of three animations under glass jars depicting the anatomy of a gravitational wave. Under one jar is a rotating black hole, under another is the spiral orbit of two black holes, and the final shows the waveform of a gravitational wave.

This installation piece was made in conjunction with Gravity Well, and Intersecting Planes. It employs a technique called “pepper’s ghost,” which uses reflection to create hovering images.
